Everyone’s tossing resolutions and new goals around like hot cakes because the new year brings so much hope and anticipation for new things. Studies show that dopamine is released in our brains when we anticipate new things so maybe that’s why we love the new year so much. It actually feels good to start a new year with new possibilities. But I want to take a minute and look back on this year. What are the things you’ve wanted to do but haven’t done yet? I believe you have the answers to a lot of your questions already and perhaps you’re a lot closer to your goals than you think. Why do I think this? Because one of the hardest things for people to do is to actually START even though they have the skill.
Starting is scary because once you start the possibility to fail arises. But think about this, if failing were no longer an option, no better yet if failing could become our teacher what could you accomplish? With this mindset what would you start in 2019?
