This is round 3 for me gathering all the goods for a newborn… in some ways I feel like I’m starting all over and in other ways I feel the most relaxed and prepared for our third baby. I kept a few things from when Zeke (our second child) was a baby, but I gave away a lot of baby goods too. We were so indecisive on whether or not to have a 3rd child. If you want to hear more about how we decided to add one more member to the family I recorded it on my podcast Sure Babe in episode 11.
This ain’t my first rodeo… I know now more of what I really need for baby so I thought it would be fun to share what items I feel are essential for a new baby. As a thank you for following our journey I’m GIVING AWAY an item and or shop credit for each baby essential item below!!! Head to my instagram @chrissyjpowers to enter and leave a comment here for extra entry points!
#1 Bumbleride Stroller
I’ve tested out my share of strollers and I have to tell you the Bumbleride is my go to for ease of use, style, and comfort. I’ve taken our Bumbleride Indie and Speed strollers on several airplanes, trips, into plenty of stores, beaches and runs and it has held up great. We just upgraded to the Indie Twin. I plan to get back into shape with this bad boy once baby girl is here! One of my favorite ways to squeeze in workouts as a mom is to run or walk with a jogging stroller like this one.
Bumbleride is giving away $300 shop credit towards a stroller of your own!

#3 Fin & Vince Clothing
Baby onesies and sleep sacks are very essential in those early days, but I think it’s also essential to have a few pieces of clothing that you can keep as heirlooms. Fin & Vince makes the best timeless children’s and baby clothing for both girls and boys and gender neutral items as well.
Fin & Vince is gifting the winner $50 store credit.

#5 Living Spaces Furniture
There are lots of baby specific furniture items you can buy but in my opinion they’re usually way overpriced and not essential. I love Living Spaces for all home furnishings. Since we are still in the early process of building our home we are making the most out of our small space. Baby girl will be sleeping in our room for the first year but we made room for her clothing and other baby items in the boy’s room. I switched out the boys old IKEA 3 drawer dresser to the Living Spaces Copenhagen Chest of Drawers which has 5 drawers so we have a lot more room for clothing storage. We also needed a bedside table for the kids’ room to hold books and a lamp and we found the Madison Drawer Nightstand from Living Spaces and it is a great fit for their room.
Living Spaces will be gifting $599 store credit to the winner of this giveaway!

I just discovered Coyuchi and their gorgeous sheets and textiles. I’m so impressed with their line of baby products. For baby girl we got a Muslin Organic Swandle Blanket and 300TC Organic Sateen Crib sheets in Camellia…. I love the color and feel of this organic fabric. It will be perfect for when she’s in her crib… we need to kick her older brother out of it first.

#10 Summer Infant Video Monitor
I have been using the Summer Infant video monitor since Waylon my 6 year old was born. We lived in a one bedroom condo when we had our first child and I still used our video monitor during nap times. Having a video monitor to watch my children sleep has been a life saver for me and actually helps me sleep knowing I can hear or see them if they wake and need me. I lovvvvvvve my video monitor.
#11 James Fox Co. Gown
This gown made me feel soooo good after I gave birth to my second son. I slipped into my James Fox beautiful + soft gown and felt like a new woman (which come to think of it I totally was). Birth is hard enough; you deserve to feel pampered after. Karla the creator of James Fox Co. is a wonderful mother and designer that knows exactly what a women wants to feel…. she created ‘hospital approved’ gowns that serve both as a comfort in the midst of the unexpected, as well as a quiet reminder that a mother is first, a woman. This gown is definitely in my hospital bag!
James Fox Co. is gifting a gown of their choosing to the winner!
#12 Promptly Childhood Journal
I am in love with Promptly Journals! Their childhood journals make it easy to write about your pregnancy journey as well as your child’s development….all bound into a beautiful book that will last forever. Each one of my children have one and I have wonderful thoughts of how they will read them when they’re older.
