This is round 3 for me gathering all the goods for a newborn… in some ways I feel like I’m starting all over and in other ways I feel the most relaxed and prepared for our third baby. I kept a few things from when Zeke (our second child) was a baby, but I gave away a lot of baby goods too. We were so indecisive on whether or not to have a 3rd child. This ain’t my first rodeo… I know now more of what I really need for baby so I thought it would be fun to share what items I feel are essential for a new baby. I’ve tested out my share of strollers and I have to tell you the Bumbleride is my go to for ease of use, style, and comfort. There are lots of baby specific furniture items you can buy but in my opinion they’re usually way overpriced and not essential. I love Living Spaces for all home furnishings. Since we are still in the early process of building our home we are making the most out of our small space. Baby girl will be sleeping in our room for the first year but we made room for her clothing and other baby items in the boy’s room. I switched out the boys old IKEA 3 drawer dresser to the Living Spaces Copenhagen Chest of Drawers which has 5 drawers so we have a lot more room for clothing storage. We also needed a bedside table for the kids’ room to hold books and a lamp and we found the Madison Drawer Nightstand from Living Spaces and it is a great fit for their room.

This is the craziest giveaway! So many amazing useful things. I felt so out of my depths when it came to baby 1 and what we would use. Plus we lived in a studio then, so I didn’t know what we even had room for! One of my sons was hidden and we found out way late in the game that we were having twins so everything we have is 2nd hand. What an awesome post. I loved everything about it. I am currently 6 months pregnant with my first and have spent the last 6 months searching for the right items. There is so much to learn and know about baby items I could drive myself crazy with research. Every time I find real moms that give their true opinions on the must haves I gravitate to wanting to learn more from them. My husband and I live in an apartment so I haven’t bought anything yet (my mom thinks I’m crazy) because I want to get what’s best for my baby and the space. Almost all of the items you listed were in must have list and reading your opinion about them makes me want to finally go make my first purchases! I can’t wait to be a mom and maybe one day I can help others know the must haves as well.
