A Tale Of Raising A Sensitive Child: When I got h A Tale Of Raising A Sensitive Child:
When I got home from work yesterday Zeke was in tears. Waylon had lost his upteenth tooth (how many baby teeth do they have again? 💸).... Zeke cried “mom I can’t believe he’s getting more money from the tooth fairy! It’s not fair; I’ve lost no teeth!”
To which I replied, “someday your brother will be fresh out of teeth and you’ll just be getting started on this money train”💰🦷.... then he reminded me that I already told him I was the tooth fairy. A year ago he worked himself up so much over the idea that a fairy he didn’t know was going to fly into his room at night to give his brother money. 🙅🏼‍♂️ He was convinced it was creepy so I put his sensitive heart at ease and revealed my mama fairy truth status. So now we laugh and hug and wink our eyes because he and I are in on a secret along with Santa and the Easter Bunny. Anyone else have a sensitive child who would not stand for such fairy nonsense? 😆🦷🧚🏽‍♀️ #consciousparenting

We played a game of marriage rapid fire today and came up with 5 questions each:
Me to Sam:
1) What’s my biggest quirk?
-Impulsivity
2) What’s your favorite thing I wear?
- Anything with cheetah on it.
3) Kids are.....
-Hard
4) My Body is a........
- A temple of beauty
5) After 11 years of marriage I have learned....
-How strong you are. 😭❤️ Sam to me:
1) Biggest Pet Peeve?
- When you cut your nails and leave them in the sink.
2) Favorite activity now?
- Riding bikes with you.
3) Favorite New Experience?
- Riding bikes with you.
4) Biggest area of growth?
- Your brain
5) Best gift in the last year?
- My sacred feminine necklace and the personally growth we both have made this year.
.
Marriage is worth the work. If I could say anything to my single 20 year old self it would be.... you are worth waiting for someone that will do the work with you. Thank you for building a life with me @superdangerpowers

Isn’t life weird how at just the right moment you receive what you need? It doesn’t always feel that way but for me in this moment that feels very true. As an empath and recovering people pleaser I tend to pour out myself until I feel empty (learning to change that pattern). 🥴
.
Yesterday I told Sam “this is the longest time I will have been away from Ruby, I feel guilty.” Then he said: “You don’t need to feel guilty, I got this.” ❤️
.
Sometimes you need to take space to breathe and heal. Everyone is deserving of that. You are deserving of that. ✨
Be back later this week! ✌🏽
It’s a wild Friday night over here celebrating t It’s a wild Friday night over here celebrating the fact that we finally decided on all the tile for #thepowersplace, ordered and received it all this week! 🎉🏠
This is the tile that will be going on the boys bathroom floor, it reminds me a Paris which will always hold a special place in my heart. We chose tile that would be beautiful, simple, earthy and easy to clean. Sam is big on form and function and I’m big on fashion so we even each other out well. ☺️
Also thanks @fullmhouse for the @avatarify.app recommendation! 😂❤️🙌🏼
Can’t wait to share more home stuff as we are getting sooooo close to install!
Does anyone else have an all day snacker in their Does anyone else have an all day snacker in their family?
We do and her name is RUBY! I don't know if it's because she's our third child and I'm just more tired but I have no idea how to get a toddler to eat veggies anymore. That bit of information got deleted after 3 babies ha ha.
But I do remember to give my kids their @natureswaybrands supplements PTL! ♥️🙏🏽
I feel so much better knowing I'm giving my kids something that is supporting developing their bodies and their health. Ya know it's the little things like this that make raising good humans a little bit easier.

Doing that trend where you lay on your kid’s lap Doing that trend where you lay on your kid’s lap while they’re watching TV to see their reaction... 🤣
Monday’s are one of my “in office” days so when I dress up they know I’m going to work. It’s a push pull of being a present mom, working and trusting that you’re doing the best for your children. Whenever I feel mom guilt creep in I ask myself where It’s coming from, what it’s trying to teach me, and in what ways do my children know they are loved.
.
Join me today at 11:30am PST for a LIVE with @dr._regine_muradian on how to support our children’s mental health at this time.
Once upon a time there was a girl who’s only val Once upon a time there was a girl who’s only valentine was her dad until she turned 26 and met a boy named Sam who became her first and only other valentine.... now she has 4 valentines 5 including her dad and she was never alone again. 😍❤️😕😆🤪😭. Here’s something I’ve learned though… You can be your own valentine! Happy Valentine’s Day!
When you go in for the kiss and get an elbow.... I When you go in for the kiss and get an elbow.... I’ll tell you what seeing this sweet relationship flourish while Sam stays home more with the kiddos ha been really sweet. I can’t even put her to bed anymore and that’s A OKAY with me. The other night she woke me up by kissing my face, asking for milk and then screaming at me for not wanting to party at 3:30am so #dadtotherescue. Also did you see how excited Sam got over our new @kohler kitchen sink?! We compromised and I let him pick the one he wanted because gosh darn it I am a good wife.... But the truth is he’s really such a good husband and dad he deserves to have the kitchen sink of his dreams.🤣🤪❤️🥰
