There are many differences about my second pregnancy…including the baby shower. My first baby shower was lovely, but I was on bedrest at that time in my pregnancy and wasn’t able to really enjoy life as fully as I do now. Even with the aches and pains of the third trimester I’m not taking for granted the fact that I’m mobile and able to carry out tasks like hanging a picture or washing baby clothes. This time around I thought it very fitting to celebrate this little life with all our family and friends including the men! It was a a great night catered by our favorite hole-in-the-wall Mexican shop and topped off with ice-cream sundays and cookies. It’s strange how events can help us transition through the changes in life but they do, and I think it’s important to celebrate each baby you bring into your family.
* Also the dirt you see in the background of our house is the site of our future home! My husband built our first house (which is technically an accessory building) on this lot and it’s fit our needs perfectly but we’re excited to expand and build a bigger home as our family grows too.
