Mornings have become my favorite time of day. That wasn’t always the case though; I used to wake up feeling sluggish and my first thought would be how and when I could get both my kids to nap today. It’s amazed me how adding a few things and deleting a few things from my daily routine has helped me feel so much better. I look forward to rolling out of bed…yes I still roll unless one of my kids is screaming, then I’m like a ninja full of adrenaline. I look forward to play-time with my coffee in hand and a book or devotional that I sneak peeks at. Here’s what I do to make my mornings good.
- Inspire Yourself: After getting a warm cup ‘o coffee I grab something inspiring to read. I like devotionals and books that I can read while sitting on the floor with my kids. My go to’s are Jesus Calling and the She Reads Truth app.
- Fuel Up: While I make the kiddo’s breakfast I make mine as well and try to sit down and eat with them.
- Vitamins & Minerals: I started taking supplements and a probiotic that have given so much natural energy and actually helped me lose the last of my baby weight. It’s called “The Triplex Combo“, you can check them out by clicking here if interested.
- Disconnect: Lastly I don’t sleep with my phone by my bed anymore. It was just too tempting to check emails or look up my fears on google at night ha ha. All that totally messes with your mind and sleep cycle.
…It’s pretty simple, just add things that inspire you to your morning, take your vitamins, don’t forget to play, and eliminate the noise at night. Also on a completely unrelated note, I found the softest pajamas for kids. I snapped some photos for Esme Inc’s website so I had to share with you all how cute and comfy these PJ’s are and of course the adorable boys in them.
