In our home we spend most of our time in the living room and kitchen, but there is something sacred about your bedroom where you rest your head and occasionally relax. Thats probably why I love making these spaces clean and comfortable. When we designed our home and built it, it was very important to us to have as much natural lighting as possible. We opted for very large windows which actually take up the most space on one side of our room. I found that “less is more” is actually more when it comes to our room and leaving the outdoor view as our main decor was key. I was slightly worried about where a crib would fit into our room because of it’s unique shape but I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We had a talented friend build us a wooden co-sleeper that attaches to our bed with planks under our mattress. This little sleeper is a major space saver and will hopefully help me not have to get up as much at night when nursing a baby…not to mention an instant family heirloom. Another space saver was placing a changing pad on top of our dresser and using a rolling caddy from IKEA for all diapering and baby needs. Looking at how everything for baby has come together has me breathing sighs of relief and feeling ready for our new addition!
