Last weekend we took advantage of the one sunny day we had during an unusual rainy season and stayed at Cape Rey Carlsbad Hotel. We swam in the pool for hours, ate incredible food and I even snuck away for an amazing massage at The Ocean Crest Spa . I’m not kidding when I say my massage was ahhhmazing! My masseuse Julie gave me an aromatherapy massage I’ll never forget. I’ve been attempting to slow down lately but to a fault have still still been pretty busy… this mini getaway came at the perfect time. The boys had so much fun in the pool, which was also the perfect depth for little swimmers and Sam and I enjoyed the break from cooking. We highly recommend the calamari, margaritas and shrimp & lobster tacos at Chandler’s Restaurant. You can’t beat the view of the ocean from your room and the staff was warm and friendly to parents with rowdy kids…that goes far with me!
