I never want to forget that Memorial Day is a day to celebrate those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, but I also like to think it symbolizes the start of summer. Growing up my family would invite our whole church over for a swim party BBQ and I looked forward to it every year. My dad would pick a new project before the big weekend…driving my mother nuts and my mom would clean the inside of the house like the president was coming to stay.
My favorite memories of summer include holidays like this; I love that summer is a time to wind down, relax, let go of schedules and commune outside with popsicles, grilled food and s’mores!
Last month I had the awesome opportunity to work with Old Navy on a 3 day photoshoot in L.A. showcasing their new Summer line. I fell in live with them! Seriously all their styles are right on the money and fit a variety of body shapes….not to mention their team is a group of the most down-to-earth, kind and creative people.
This summer I’ll be living in Old Navy’s linen jumpsuit (which also come in 2 other styles), one piece swimsuits and clothing that reminds me of all the fun that summer is. This jumpsuit can literally be worn to the beach, BBQ, dinner, or brunch.
On me: Old Navy’s Linen-Blend Tie-Belt Jumpsuit in Blue Stripe, Triple-Strap Block-Heeled Sandals in Tan, Natalie Borton “Conni” tassel necklace and Ray Ban Sunnies, and GiGi Pip Jasmine Straw Hat.
Waylon is wearing the Classic Poplin Shirt for boys in “Blue Surfers” with Slim Rolled-Cuff Shorts, Reef “Grom Crossover” sandals and my Jasmine Straw hat from GiGi Pip.
Zeke is wearing the Getaway Shirt for toddler boys with the French-Terry Drawstring shorts for Toddlers and Reef “Grom Crossover” sandals.
