It all started with a Craigslist find I couldn’t It all started with a Craigslist find I couldn’t pass up. @devonremade found these amazing Mexican Equipal Barrel chairs for $200!
I drove up and we made a day out of it:
My car wouldn’t start after lunch and then decided to randomly go after the alarm went off 4 or 5 times, we picked the chairs up from Jack & John (clearly a couple with amazing taste), then tried to sneak into two hip hotel pools without any luck, ended up at our motel pool with a can of wine, made reservations for a swanky restaurant to get on the premises of the swanky resort, ended up poolside to see the sun dip below the mountain, canceled dinner reservations bought a bottle of wine and pizza from the swanky hotel pub and ate under an oak tree with lanterns.
I love adventures like this... and a good deal!
I bought this bike during quarantine when I needed I bought this bike during quarantine when I needed something to look forward to. I had just declared it my “summer of joy” which is funny because it was more like the “summer a whole lotta 💩 went down”. For some reason this bike and this time in history remind me of my wedding vows that I promised to love in the midst of JOY as well as SORROW. Both can coexist in life at the same time and it’s the weirdest most wonderful realization. Also I need help naming her 🚲! Leave a good name in the comments for me. ❤️

I never set out to be an influencer. “Influencer I never set out to be an influencer. “Influencer” wasn’t even a thing when I started out sharing my/our life on this app.
.
I was a new mom with a new iPhone who fell in love with taking photos of her kids and connecting with other like-minded people.
I worked hard for years producing content just for the LOVE of it and I remember when the first brand reached out to me and wanted to pay me for a blog and Instagram post I was thrilled to say the least. I mentioned my achievement to a friend and was shamed immediately for my work as this person did not see me as a service but as an opportunist. Ugh this one hurt so bad ya’ll 💔. Being a sensitive person and a recovering people pleaser it took me years to stand in my worth and build a business that now supports my family through a pandemic! So please NEVER NEVER NEVER listen to the people in the cheap seats. If they are not in the arena with you they do not have the authority to speak into your life.
If I would have closed up shop after this incident we would not be where we are at today living the life we WANT to live.
.
So because I want you to THRIVE I’m joining forces with the best in the Instagram business to teach you 3 Instagram secrets you should know! And it’s FREE! Hurry and reserve your spot because we start dishing on October 5th! All three lessons are filled with some of the top Instagram tips and tricks we’ve learned over the past several years. Here is my A-Team I’m so proud to be a part of:

🤯 THIS. I listened to the brilliant and beautif 🤯 THIS. I listened to the brilliant and beautiful @sonyareneetaylor share her self love thoughts on @brenebrown’s podcast “Unlocking Us” and it blew the doors right off my preconceived notions of self acceptance & self love. All bodies are inherently worthy of acceptance and love. When we awake to this idea of SELF LOVE good goes out into the world in a way that dismantles the idea that there are bodies (people) that are better than others. We are all people; the body is a suit that holds the soul.❤️🤟🏼🤟🏽🤟🏾🤟🏿

We want to give at least one of you HOPE. Being married in 2020 is HARD. 5 months ago we were in a place where our marriage needed a major reboot and nothing seemed safe or secure.
(We’ll share more later on this). We just went back to couples therapy this weekend after taking a few years off to work on ourselves in individually therapy and it was so GOOD. It kinda felt like we were sitting down together ready to take our marriage from a BA to a PhD.
.
We’ve had several ups and downs in our marriage and with each we’ve repaired and rebuilt to make the relationship stronger but not without hard work, forgiveness, empathy, insight and help. Love you guys. Hope we encouraged one of you.
