When I was young I always wanted to know when our next trip, party, or event was going to be. I have always loved adventure and I hope my boys have the same excitement of exploring places together. Traveling with kids is not easy by any means, but it’s so worth it. Introducing Waylon to the snow and sledding for the first time was priceless and Zeke is just the best baby that goes along for the ride. It’s on our family bucket list to teach our children to ski and snowboard but we decided to hold off on that one more year and take a weekend trip up to Big Bear instead. We rented the most adorable 1960’s pristine cabin called The Eureka House on Airbnb! The decor is clean and hip and a throw back to the 60’s which surprisingly enough helped me slow down and encouraged me to read some of the books Ive been wanting to crack open. We didn’t have much snow, but spring-time in Big Bear is beautiful. We enjoyed walks by the lake, sledding, playing at the park, exploring the village and early nights in. When you rent a cabin in the off season and bring an ice chest full of food things are quite cost effective. Plus this house had all the necessities for a baby as well: high chair, bumbo, activity mat, and stroller. Seriously check this place out, bring some friends with you and have fun!
