This is the month of looooovvvve! Not just because of February 14th -a day I dreaded and consumed wayyy to much ice cream on pretty much until I met my husband when I was 26. It’s the month Sam and I got married and now the month that I have to make sure my kindergartener has awesome valentine’s cards to hand out. It also feels like a good time to start thinking of Spring and all the promises it brings….ie new closet space, cherry blossoms, warmer weather, and new beginnings. So I suggest cleaning out your closet this month, get rid of clothing you haven’t worn in a year, thank it for it’s role that it played in your life and replace it with a few key pieces. Choose items that you can feel great in and that also have a versatile quality. Like stripes! I used to think horizontal stripes were the kiss of death when trying to put together a flattering outfit but I’m happy to say that old philosophy has been booted! Stripes are a classic staple of mine now and I’m not ashamed to say that I love matching my boys in them too. Now that I’m 18 weeks pregnant it makes dressing comfortably a tad bit more challenging but I have to tell you, I did a happy little jig when I slid these Old Navy maternity power jeans on!
